In June last year I changed the structure of my coaching business to a social enterprise, with the aim of bringing positive psychology to communities. I hope to reduce isolation and increase connection through joyful activities. This year I have been fully committed to raising awareness of my work and I have attended exhibitions and networking events in my local area. I have already had some lovely conversations with people at events. I gained my MSc in Positive Psychology and I love sharing my knowledge of gratitude, self compassion, kindness, hope, resilience (and more). Joy Workshops give me the opportunity to spread the word that positive emotions help us to be more creative and resilient.

I also trained to become a Fresh Air Fridays facilitator last year. This is a nationwide community and as a member you can attend a Fresh Air Fridays session anywhere in the country. The sessions are not only held on a Friday, in fact none of mine are, the name indicates that being outside in nature can give you that 'friday feeling'.

I moved house from Totton to Cadnam in October. It is 5 minutes further into the New Forest and I love it! Currently, I have no office as it is being built. I have been using Dobbies garden centre or taking clients out in the forest for a walk. My work is a joy :)

Here are further details of the interventions I am offering to increase positive emotion. Please get in touch if there is anything that interests you or please pass the information on to someone who could benefit.

LAUGHTER

SESSIONS

Laughter Sessions are based on Laughter Yoga, founded by Dr. Madan Kataria in India. Dr. Kataria believed that laughter is the best medicine and started laughing with a group of 5 people and now there are laughter yoga groups all around the world. Myself and fellow laughter enthusiast, Julie, are running laughter sessions on the first Saturday of the month 10.15am-12pm at Colbury Memorial Hall
Totton SO40 7EL. The session is free, we ask for donations to cover costs. I am running taster sessions in the Flourish shop Marlands on Saturday 22nd February at 11am, 1pm & 3pm.

To experience the joy of being in a supportive community while walking in the countryside why not join me on a Fresh Air Fridays session. The first session is free.

JOY

WORKSHOP

Joy workshops are based on the science of Positive Psychology. The workshop aims to increase positive emotion leading to improved health and well being. I will be running 2 workshops at
Colbury Memorial Hall
Totton SO40 7EL. One is on 21st March and the other is on 27th June. They are both 11.30am - 3.30pm and cost £40.
There is one workshop running at Gaunts House in Wimborne. The cost is £70 and includes lunch and a free follow up coaching session.

Today is a good day for forgiveness. Mind you, forgiveness is not for everyone.
