The theme of the month is 'Asking for help?' I titled this newsletter 'Can you help?' and I wonder how you responded to that question. Often, we are open to helping others and yet find it really difficult to ask for help. This can result in feeling overwhelmed and lacking in energy. In our podcast 'Positivity: A Work in Progress, Vie & I talk about how we are both learning and practicing asking for help, it doesn't come naturally to either of us. Asking for help is a skill that can be learnt and practiced. If this is a skill that you need/want to learn then listening to the podcast, learning about the benefits and implementing the tips and strategies, may help you. We would love to hear how you get on practicing asking for help.

Wellbeing Evening Online

Our first online wellbeing evening is on Thursday 20th July 6.30 - 9pm, we would love to see you there. Self Care Afternoon Online

Our first online Self Care Sunday is on Sunday 20th August 1pm - 3pm, we would love to see you there. This is another opportunity to try out the topics from the wellbeing days. This includes a laughter yoga session and meditation session. This time instead of positive psychology, the topic is self care. Positivity: A Work In Progress

There were celebrations this week as our podcast achieved 2000 downloads. The most recent topic is Asking for Help, which is also the theme of this newsletter. Listen in to hear Vie and I share our experiences of asking for help and the strategies we recommend to grow the skill. The final episode in Series 5 is Self Care (Part 1) and is released on Monday 17th July.

June Outdoor Practice Group

We walked along the beach and talked about the positive emotion - Love. When we were in the cafe I looked up and saw the top image through a high window. I was amazed that I had not noticed the window before, even though I have been visiting the cafe for many years. After tea and cake, Frances and I went for a swim. It was much warmer than I expected. Frances is used to wild swimming and recently swam half a mile in the Thames to raise funds for her charity Creative Options. Well done, Frances. Positive Psychology Practice Group

The practice group online session is held on a Wednesday evening once a month and the outdoor session is held on a Saturday afternoon once a month. Each session has a theme related to positive psychology or personal development, there is a teaching element, space for open discussion and group coaching, and a short meditation. The cost of the sessions are £10 online, and £15 outdoor, pay as you attend. Come and join us to keep creating and maintaining your positive neural pathways.

Life Coaching Programme
